 CENTRAL CITY PARTNER CO-OPs
Partner Co-Op 101
What is a Partner Co-Op?
A group of folks who live in an outlying area who would rather have one person drive in and pick up as opposed to 20 folks driving in to pick up.
Why would I want to have one?
- There is a large demand from members both as close as the Heights and as far as Kingwood to our central location, no kidding.
-
If you have 12- 20 members who participate once a month, you can cover your own operating costs and your personal produce. Partner co-ops purchase shares by the case and half case at a discounted rate, and from open market retail.
- This is a great small business for a group of OAMs - One Armed Moms. What's a one armed mom? Baby in one arm, one arm available for produce!

How to tell if it's a match for you:
You can be available to pick up on Wed between 9:30-11:30 am. You have at least 2 people to share the responsibility and be point people for your partner co-op. You either ave some experience with a small business or are relatively quick on the uptake. You have access to a roomy vehicle to cart home all those veggies!
Veggies make you happy, like Carolyn!

Great! What's next?
- Come by and visit Rowan 9:30-11:30 on Wednesday to see the drill, or send her an email so she can get out the party hats. Email partners@centralcityco-op.com
- Start asking around and find members for your co-op. More importantly, who do you want in your co-op? Who would you love to work with?
- Then we will schedule a Nuts & Bolts class for you to learn the paperwork and systems. To enroll as a co-op there is an annual $75 fee. Also of note, all partner co-ops are membership based, 1/2 of each members dues go to CCC and half to your co-op as working capital. Memberships are $48 annually.
What if I would really like to open a farmers market? Projects for Public Spaces has a farmers market managers program, and they are the best.

WHO WANTS CO-OP
IN THE HEIGHTS??
We were rocking, we were strong, and then we had a little reshuffle. Now that its six months later, it might just be time to get back in the game. What would be our launch date? Jan 6th.
Email getcultured@mac.com if you are feeling it. And if you are really feeling it and want to be part of the crew that earns their food, make sure you convey that info in bold big letters!
